All Hartnackschule teachers have got an expert university degree.

Teaching documents

In our elementary and intermediate levels a textbook is used. Moreover, our teachers use work sheets created by our editorial staff.
All other levels use especially developed documents. If required there are video rooms, cd players as well as overhead projectors available. The Hartnackschule has an own video archive.

Methodology

Classes of all levels offer a structured combination of communicative elements and integrated grammar.

All elementary levels consist of practical conversation and role-playing in small groups of two or more. Next to our up-to-date texts and materials developed by our elementary level editorial staff, there is a school book oriented system of action cards and learner cards.

In higher levels didactically optimized texts and exercises, created by the intermediate level´s editorial staff and Hartnackschule teachers, are used in addition to the textbook.

The advanced level is designed in cooperation with the course participants. Finally course participants absolve the Advanced Level Examination (Oberstufen-Prüfung der Hartnackschule, OSP), which is comparable to the ZOP of the Goethe Institute.

Each semester there are used updated sheets and exercises, adapted to the German Universities.

The KDS-Kurs is developed after the guidelines of the Goethe Institute.

Our service for you

You already have language knowledge?
Visit the Central Placement Test ("Zentrale Einstufung", in German). The ZE team has developed special tests for all levels. You take the test unhurriedly and get advice by our experienced teachers afterwards.

If desired we compose a syllabus of instruction for you. You may arrange an appointment with the ZE by dialing +49 (30) 2 16 44 59 oder +49 (30) 2 10 21 93. The Central Placement Test takes places every day between 12.30 and 13.30.
