TestDaF Prep Course

General information about the TestDaF

The TestDaF is a recognized language certificate for university admission. It covers the CEFR levels B2 to C1+. The TestDaF consists of 4 parts: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. The performances are assigned to three levels: You have passed the test if you get the marks TDN 3, TDN 4 and TDN 5 (the top mark).
If you have passed the test with a grade of 4 in all four sub-tests, the certificate is valid as proof of language proficiency for admission to any university in Germany. The result is also internationally recognized as proof of your German language skills for scientific projects and academic professions.

Please contact the university of your choice to find out what grade you need to achieve. Each German university determines itself for which subject you have to have reached which level in order to be admitted to study. At some universities or for some courses of study the highest level TDN 5 is required, in most cases TDN 4 is sufficient.

The TestDaF can only be taken at licensed test centers. You can also take the TestDaF abroad as well as more than once. Please ask your selected test center for the exact amount of the examination fee.
