FAQ - Precontract

1. Which courses will I attend?

You will attend our intensive courses. These start at the beginning of each month and take place from Monday to Friday. We offer three different lesson times depending on availability:

- 09 am to 12 pm

- 13:00 to 16:00

- 17:30 to 20:30

The calculation and booking of the pre-contracts is always based on the price of the morning courses. If your visa also allows courses at other times and you decide on an afternoon or evening course, the monthly difference will be credited to your customer account for further bookings or book purchases.

2. How many lessons do your courses comprise?

Our courses comprise 20 lessons per week. According to the German school system, one lesson lasts 45 minutes.

3. For which language level do you offer courses?

We offer A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 courses. Please indicate your desired starting level when booking. This will be printed on the certificate.

4. I have booked the contract. What happens next?

We are already looking forward to welcoming you. Please contact us by e-mail as soon as the visa has been issued and in good time before the course starts: service-link@hartnackschule-berlin.de

5. How do I receive my contract documents?

The documents will be sent to you promptly after your order to the e-mail address provided, at the latest within three working days. Postal delivery is possible on request within Germany, but not abroad.

6. Can I postpone the contract to a later start date?

Postponement is possible up to three times. You will also receive new contract documents from us if required. Please inform us immediately of any postponements: service-link@hartnackschule-berlin.de

7. Under what conditions is it possible to cancel the contract?

Cancellation is expressly only possible on presentation of the rejection of the visa application by the embassy, the rejection of the extension of stay by the foreigners authority or a corresponding negative decision (confirmation from the embassy that a visa application has not been submitted).

8. Do you offer advice on the individual conditions for visa applications?

Please understand that conditions can vary greatly depending on the embassy and the individual situation of the applicant. Please contact the embassies or the immigration authorities directly.

9. Are the preliminary agreements also suitable for submission to the immigration authorities?

Yes, the Foreigners' Registration Office also accepts the contract documents for the examination of an extension/grant of residence.

10. Do you offer blocked accounts or health insurance?

We recommend that you take out health insurance with the following partners:

11. Do you offer accommodation for your customers?

Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange accommodation for you.

12. Can I pay the contract amount in installments?

Unfortunately not. The full amount is due upon booking, as the embassy and the immigration authorities will only accept your application if you provide proof of payment.

13. I am not sure which level I would like to take. What can I do?

14. Is it possible to shorten the preliminary contract at a later date?

Unfortunately, this is not possible as your visa is usually linked to your language course attendance at Hartnackschule.

15. Is it possible to suspend the preliminary contract for a few months?

Unfortunately, this is not possible, as your visa is generally linked to continuous language course attendance at Hartnackschule.

16. Is it possible to join the course late?

Our courses always start at the beginning of the month. If you have informed us in good time that you will not be arriving in Berlin until a few days after the start of the course and we have been able to secure a place for you, you are welcome to start the course.
